May 2025 Manufacturing Update: Tascus + Project Highlights

May 30, 2025 | Education & Resources | 0 comments

At Metis Automation, we’re focused on two things:

  1. Evolving Tascus to stay ahead of how manufacturers work
  2. Supporting teams bringing smart, high-quality products to life

In this manufacturing software update, we’re sharing the latest improvements to Tascus, and highlighting recent client projects in automotive and medical device production.

🚀 Product Update: Tascus v23.8.0.12 Now Live

The latest Tascus release adds improvements that help production teams get clearer traceability, better quality control, and smoother workflows.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Smarter Sequence Editing
Quickly spot changes in build steps with visual markers. We’ve also cleaned up the interface and increased visibility with a larger sequence name field.

  • Improved Product Reports
Sequence names now show directly in reports. You can also archive older test results and control visibility by user permissions.

  • Faster QA Sign-Offs
Inspectors can now switch between build instructions and result views with a simple toggle — no back-and-forth or second guessing.

  • Support for Furness Leak Testing
You can now capture auxiliary test results from devices like the Furness tester directly in Tascus.

  • Floating License Fixes
We’ve improved license tracking and reliability, especially for teams working across shared PCs or multi-user setups.

🔧 Project Spotlight: Atlas Copco – Automotive Riveting Monitoring

We recently delivered a project with Atlas Copco, focused on improving traceability and quality in automotive riveting.

With Tascus, they can now:

  • Track rivet performance in real time

  • Log torque and depth data digitally

  • Trigger alerts when results fall outside the target range

It’s a great example of how MES can integrate with existing tooling to prevent issues before they reach final inspection.

🧪 Medical Device Innovation: Neupulse Validation Testing

We also supported Neupulse, a UK medtech company developing a wearable neuromodulation system. They used Tascus to:

  • Run repeatable test protocols

  • Capture and store sensor data

  • Support compliance for regulatory approval

This shows how Tascus supports not just production, but innovation under pressure to meet strict testing standards.
