Parts List

The Parts List defines what product part number can be used to start production sequences. This is the list of part numbers that appear in the start window.

You can define for each part number the following fields:

  • Target Time -This defines the target production time for each product:
  • Shift Target – This defines the production target for each shift
  • Create Report -This option defines whether a report will be created for the product when Complete Production is pressed.
  • Report Template -This specifies which report template should be used when a report is created.

Use the fields at the top of the list to add or edit fields for each part number.

 

Operations List

The Ops List defines which production operations are available across the production site.

You need at least one production operation to use Tascus but can also have multiple production operations.

If a single production operation is used, all operations must happen sequentially but can be paused and resumed on different production stations.

When multiple production operations are used, some production operations can be carried out in parallel at different production stations.

 

Parts Sequence List

Once part numbers have been defined, you then need to select which production sequences run for each part number.

If a single production operation has been selected, use this table to link the part number to a single production operation and a sequence file that contains all of the production steps (or a top-level production sequence with several sub sequence calls).

If multiple production operations are used, use this screen to configure multiple production operations and the sequences that should run. You can also add precondition and run conditions for each sequence.

This screenshot shows how five different production operations have been configured, with a different sequence for each operation.

  • Pre Conditions – This means that Tascus will not allow a production sequence to start until a previous operation has been completed. Manufacturers use this to ensure that a correct process flow is adhered to.
  • Run Conditions – This can be used to customise certain products. Certain sequences can only run if conditions are met for the current product.

Properties

The Product Properties page defines any product properties that can be used in Pre Conditions during a production sequence.

In here you can define any number of properties e.g. colour, length, size and their corresponding permitted values.

Properties can then be select by an operator using an input form or can be acquired from an MRP system.

You can define the source of selecting properties under Settings:

If User Entry is selected, after selecting a part number and serial number, the operator will be prompted with a window where they can define properties for the current product.
